The Explorer, Photographer & Writer
Shawangunks in 2008
For as long as I remember I was interested in traveling and exploring. My childhood bedroom was covered with maps and pictures of faraway places. When I was 13 years of age I bought my camera. My passion for photography fueled my desire for exploration even further.
In 2006 I took my first trip abroad to the Caribbean island of Montserrat in the British West Indies. It was a life changing experience that involved immersion into Caribbean culture and society. In 2007 I continued my travels to the city of Montreal, witnessing both a cultural and language barrier. Travels in college brought me and four of my friends to the Southeastern US in 2008 for some adventures and last June I backpacked along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal for twelve days taking photographs and learning the about the history along the way.
Much of my current explorations take place in my home state of Massachusetts so naturally my written guides explore that area. But in time I will venture further westwards to bring you all more adventures in hopes that you will explore as well.
It's easy to forget your dreams when you're caught up in life's struggle. But you must not fall back on wishes alone, go out there and explore the lands you've dreamed of.
